A huge clam-shell makes hand washing a special occasion and is a fantastic decorative touch for a powder room, or for any sink that’s used only occasionally. Opt for dark cabinetry underneath to let the shell stand out. this is a one of a kind piece; Designer Dayna Katlin made this sink from a vintage shell she found at an antiques store. A marble fabricator drilled a hole for the drain, and she balanced it on the vanity with clear acrylic cubes.

Get the look with a formed marble sink, with a distinctive shell shape. Paired with white washed wainscoting and white accents, the bathroom feels light and airy.

This gorgeous shell was a family heirloom! Passed down for over 50 years, the home owners finally decided to have it fitted for use as their sink- and wow, does it make a statement!

Whether using natural shells or a marble or preformed shell shape, this look is ultra spa and very cool. This won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but it would be a bold design feature!
