I can confirm I have the same problem. I got a PayPal account. I got enough balance at my PayPal account to make a gem purchase. I select to make a payment using PayPal. I get redirected to the ArenaNet site where I log in with my guild wars 2 account and enter my PayPal account information. Then at the PayPal window, I get the message: "Voeg een creditcard toe om uw aankoop te voltooien." (Dutch, Please add a credit card to finish your purchase)

I do not have a credit card and cannot add a credit card. So, I cannot add anything. So, the only viable option for me is clicking "Cancel and return to NC Soft" which results in me not purchasing any gems.

I need to log in to ArenaNet, which I do

I select PayPal

I log in to my PayPal account, which has enough PayPal balance to buy 1600 gems

I am requested to add credit card information, which I do not have. (Unless the USA, Many people in my country do not have a credit card.) This is the reason why many of us signed up for a PayPal account to make international payments over the internet because PayPal allows us to add funds via bank transfer and then use the PayPal balance to make purchases.

I am also experiencing this issue when clicking Credit Card payment. I prefer to manually input my payment information instead of saving it for security purposes. The interface itself is white and looks completely out of place.

I cannot find in the patch notes where any official changes were made to this interface. Could someone please verify?

Found the notice in other links--oops. Still, is the option to NOT save payment information no longer possible?

I'm also getting caught in an infinite loop when trying to buy gems through paypal. I keep getting sent to the anent site over and over again to "save" my info. And I've been using paypal to buy gems since I first started playing GW2 almost four years ago.

EDIT: Ah, I closed the gem store screen and then went back to it. This time my saved info was there and I was able to make a normal purchase.

I cant find the option to remove the payment information anymore and Support told me that It seems we need to log into paypal and add a secondary payment option for this to work, either a credit card or a bank account wich is competely stupid since Im using paypall to AVOID doing that.... Im dissapointed...

Yeah, not going to do that for security reasons. My bank account is protected by an offline authenticator device. My PayPal is not. No way I'm going to allow PayPal to directly withdrawal money from my bank account. I'll buy gems via a retailer or iDeal instead.
