Derek Ramsay remains loyal to TV5

The actor will continue being a Kapatid until 2018, wouldn't entertain thoughts about moving until then

2 Nov - While more and more of his fellow Kapatids move to another network, Derek Ramsay's loyalty remains with TV5, as he revealed that he will continue being a Kapatid until April 2018.

As reported on PEP News, the actor, who seemed unfazed with the fact that the network hasn't been producing a lot of new dramas and entertainment programme of late, stated that he could even do sports show if TV5 would let him.

"I am a sports guy, so they can use me there. I am willing to give my service to help them in sports and come up with any sports-related programme," he said.

When asked of his thoughts of being the only male star in TV5 now, Ramsay stated that it is quite sad.

"The network won't work if you don't have the talents. So it's kind of sad whenever an artiste leaves. But you know, they have their own reasons," he said.

As to whether he will renew his contract with TV5 if the network offered it to him, Ramsay said that he will think about it when the time comes.

"They've been good to me. I am just waiting here. When they need me, I will be here. But in the meantime, I will keep my name out there by doing movies and supporting roles," he said.
