Megan Fox reveals her body dysmorphia and wishes people would notice her 'rainbow aura'

American actor Megan Fox, who celebrates her birthday on May 16, has talked about not being comfortable in her body. The Transformers actor has earlier expressed her displeasure at being viewed as a sex symbol. Megan Fox is one of the cover girls for the 2023 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition along with Martha Stewart, Kim Petras and Brooks Nader. In an interview with the magazine, she has openly talked about how she has never loved her body, and wanted to look a certain way since childhood.

Here’s what Megan Fox said about body dysmorphia:

"I have body dysmorphia. I don't ever see myself really the way other people see me. There is (was) never a point in my life where I loved my body. Never, ever," she told Sports Illustrated.

Megan revealed that since she was a little child, she had an "obsession" to look a certain way. She also says she has no idea how she had an awareness of her body that young, because she "grew up in a very religious environment where bodies weren't even acknowledged".

The actor affirmed that the "journey of loving myself is going to be never-ending".

The actor also wished that people would notice her "rainbow aura" rather than her body. "I wished everyone noticed my aura, because I have a rainbow aura, and it's special," she said.

Megan later joked about her “murderer's thumb”, and says that because she has such a short thumb, people assume she could have a short temper. But she says she is usually very patient and gets angry only when really mad at something.
