Moomin Characters Oy Ltd and Ting AS now enter a partnership to launch official Moomin Shops in Norway. Ting is introducing the new concept starting this December, 2022, with a pop-up shop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen and with a separate Moomin Shop at Bryggen in Bergen. The official Moomin Shops in Norway will offer a wide range of well-known and beloved Moomin products as well as limited editions.
Ting stores are known for having an exciting and exclusive range of goods and especially Moomin-related products have been hugely popular for a long time. “We are excited to expand the Moomin venture and also be able to offer our customers unique Moomin products that are only for sale in official Moomin shops. Here you will find many modern gifts for both adults and children that you cannot find anywhere else”, says Kari Anne Østrem, Retail Chain Manager and Concept Manager for Ting.

The aim of the Moomin shops is to become a destination for Moomin fans throughout Norway and for foreign tourists. “Norway is the market where we have the highest growth in the Nordics, so it is an exciting market and we look forward to opening our own Moomin shops in Norway,” says Kristin Tjulander, Nordic Commercial Director at Rights and Brands, the master agent for the Moomin brand globally.

As part of the venture, a joint company is being established by Ting AS and Moomin Characters Oy Ltd. In addition to the official shops, there are also plans to develop own products in the home category.

Moomin Shop Norway is located at Bryggen 13 in Bergen, and the Moomin Shop Pop-Up in Oslo opens on 2nd December at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, right after the security checkpoint.
