Flowers Whisper Beauty to the World
Flower symbols play a very important role in every nation. I have always been fascinated by the different colors of green in our small garden.
Come let's take a look :)
Ixora Coccinea "Santan"
Ixora Coccinea locally known as "santan" in philippines. People believe that the blooming santan can ward off evil spirits and is a good luck plant when grown in large numbers. :)
Santan flowers are beautiful and bright. The colors depending on cultivars may be white, red, pink, yellow or orange. Santan flowers bloom all year around. This plant is easily grown through cuttings.
A very common flower in philippines. It has become one of the most popular flowering shrubs in gardens and lanscape.
Money Tree
Money Tree plant care is easy. Just put it where it'll get some indirect sunlight. water thoroughly and allow the soil to dry out a bit between waterings.
A money tree will produce gorgeous plumelike flowers and impressive, football shaped, dry fruits. It's a unique potted plant that is supposed to bring its owner financial gain.
Pandakaki Plant
Pandakaki is an erect, branched and smooth shrub and have rather few flowers. It's flowers feature white or pale yellow.
It's almost a week now since the rainy days started here in Philippines. One finds beauty even on a dark rainy day. These tiny white blooms are just so lovely to ignore. They bring a bit of sunshine to an otherwise bleak morning. :)
These are the flowers that used to be permanent fixtures in my small garden.
