What Should I Know About Eyelash Extensions?


Lash extensions offer instant results, providing volume, length, and lift without any downtime required. At Stile Salon & Spa, you’ll relax in a comfortable environment while a trained stylist installs your extensions. The application process is simple, the results last for weeks, and the extensions are easy to care for. 


Application is simple.


To achieve the best results, please arrive at your appointment without any makeup on. Before your lash application begins, we’ll answer any questions you might have, discuss your goals for the service, and tell you about the application process. We’ll also help you choose the lash set that will give you the look you’re after, whether you’re going for subtle and natural looking, dramatic and voluminous, or something in between. During your appointment, we’ll also look at your natural lashes to ensure the extensions will be a good fit.


The application process itself is fairly simple. We start by cleansing the eye area, then gently tape down your lower lashes to ensure they don’t get in the way. We then use adhesive to attach an extension lash to a natural lash, repeating the process until we’ve achieved your desired results. Depending on the lash set you choose, we either glue a single extension lash to a natural lash, or glue a lash fan to a natural lash. When we’re done, we’ll teach you how to care for your new lash set.

You’ll enjoy weeks of gorgeous results.


You can expect your lash extensions to last about 6-8 weeks. If some extensions fall out over time, don’t worry – this is normal and we can fix it. Depending on the condition of your extensions and when you’re scheduled to have your next full set installed, we can either fill in the empty areas or replace the whole lash set.


Proper care keeps them looking great.


In the 24 hours following your lash service, avoid washing your face or taking a shower. This ensures the glue fully dries before it gets wet. Oil can break down the adhesive, so be sure to also avoid using oil-based products near your eyes. Be gentle with your new lash set. Friction can cause them to break, so try not to rub them or tug at them, and use eye makeup remover gently. If any of your lashes clump together, use a spoolie to brush them and separate them. It’s also helpful to avoid using mascara, which can cause lash clumps when you apply it and cause friction when you remove it. Clean your extensions regularly, and always use cleansers designed specifically for this purpose to prevent the lash adhesive from breaking down. If you have any questions before or after having extensions installed, please feel free to ask us!
