Rosamund Pike: I'm proud Bond girl

Rosamund Pike said she's proud to have been a Bond girl

Rosamund Pike has insisted she is proud to be known as a Bond girl, but admitted it would be "annoying" if the tag followed her forever.

The 33-year-old actress played Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day in 2002, and told The Daily Mail how she felt about the moniker.

Rosamund revealed: "Now I've got perspective. Now it just seems like a very cool punctuation mark on the CV. It's a cool club to be a part of."

But she added it would be "reductive" if she was always referred to as a "Bond girl".

"Not that it's an insult - I'm proud as hell of it. I was delighted to be a Bond girl, but if that's your moniker for ever, it's a bit annoying."

Rosamund - who stars with Tom Cruise in new action thriller Jack Reacher - recently enjoyed a reunion with her old Bond, Pierce Brosnan, while shooting a small role in film Long Way Down.

She said: "It was nice to be ten years on, and feel that familiarity and camaraderie. We started reminiscing about Bond, and you realise that it's such a magic thing to do."
