It worked!
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a vcr on ebay that was "for parts" and mechanically, everything worked but the vhs looked awful. As if it was dirty inside. Picked up this vcr cleaner and bam! Everything looked great on it.

These two items were the last on the Shelf!?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My intent was to purchase the fluid because I already have the tape cleaner, these were the last two that they had in the store and they had to go to the store room to find those!? There are not too many people that have in their possession, a video cassette player, if you do have one, you need this product!?

Defective bottle for cleaning liquid
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Defective bottle of cleaning liquid. Tried snipping off the top all the way down to the base, but couldn’t get a drop out. I’m not going to bother to return it because it’s not worth the trouble for the amount spent, but the bottle should be redesigned.

VHS Head Cleaner Makes All The Difference
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's 2020 so it's slightly amusing that I should be buying a VHS head cleaner at this late date. But after trying 3 different VCRs I had to do something if I was going to transfer some video to digital format. I put a few drops of fluid in the cleaner and inserted it into the VCR and let it run 20 seconds as directed. Took it out and inserted a VHS tape, adjusted the tracking and I was back in business.

Must have for VHS transfers!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great product for cleaning VHS player heads. I've been transferring a ton of old VHS tapes to digital and I clean the VHS head with this product before each tape and it has helped immeasurably.

Q: QuestionWhere do I put the drops in the VCR cassette cleaner?
Asked by Julie.
- A:Answer Drops go in a small square hole on the front of the vhs tape.

Q: Questionhow do VHScleaners work?
Asked by lime.
- A:Answer First a wet section of the "cloth tape" goes along the same path the magnetic tape takes. The liquid on the tape loosens and dissolves the built up residue. Then a dry part of the "cloth tape" follows it picking up the loosened residue and drying the tape path. Wait a few minutes to let it "air dry" and remove any remaining liquid before inserting a video cassette. After all you've just applied a solvent for what the video tape is made of to the tape path. Just imagine what damage getting it on your video tape could cause.

Q: QuestionWill this help the shaking of my movies?
Asked by Susan.
- A:Answer Yes, unless it is your tracking that needs adjusted or the tape is too deteriorated.

Q: Questioni have tried repeatedly to use this Insignia VCR head cleaner and the tape keeps coming back out of the vcr. How can I get this head cleaner to stay in the vcr and work?
Asked by Dennis.
- A:Answer As a side note (almost) never rewind and reuse a cleaning cassette. Most of them are designed to make a limited number of single passes along the tape path. If you rewind and reuse them your most likely redepositing back on to the heads (tape path) residue that you had previously cleaned off. When the you reach the end of the cleaning tape replace the cleaning cassette.

Q: QuestionCan this cleaner clean recording heads?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Based on my use of many brands of cleaning cassettes over the years I would say most likely yes. Every decent vhs cleaning cassette I've ever seen cleans both the record and playback heads (audio and video).

Q: QuestionIs this available in store or only on-line?
Asked by Carolyn.
- A:Answer The huge numbers of VHS DVDs combo units and VCRs sold around 30 years will ensure this product and others will continue to be available in stores and online

Q: QuestionWhere can I buy blank tapes to record on?
Asked by LittleLady.
- A:Answer Amazon or Ebay! Since VCR's became extinct VHS tapes also became extinct! I'm replacing a lot of my VHS Movies with DVD's! Try stores that sell Nostalgia products! I can also suggest you look at Maxell, Scotch, or Sony websites and see what they have. Maxell was the top of the line when it came to VCR blank tapes!
