For a second year, event stylist Gideon Hermosa works his magic on Kathryn Bernardo's family Christmas tree, and this year's look is classic and elegant. Kath reveals that she usually goes for a blue and white theme for that "malamig" feel, but this year, they decided to try red—something they haven't done in a really, really long time.

The decorations are so elaborate that it actually took two days to complete! It was worth it, though, because Kath's tree is STUNNING. Here are all the details we love about it.

1. They reused elements from last year's Christmas tree.

It's hard to miss the polar bears around Kathryn's tree, especially because they were also part of last year's holiday decorations. This is actually one of Gideon's styling tips. In the video, he shares, "Hindi kailangan bago yung materials. You can use the same materials from last year. Ang gawin mo lang, recycle. Maging creative ka lang." You can change the color of your decors: For example, Gideon's team painted last year's tree white and added red tape to some balls so it matches the current theme.

2. Some of the decorations are made by locals.

Gideon sends materials to Tarlac to have decorations made as a way to also help the locals make a living. Kath's 2020 Christmas tree features dahlias, which were folded one by one.

3. The tree matches the Bernardo family's character.

Another tip from Gideon is to avoid blindly following trends. Your tree needs to match your personality. For Kath, she wanted something fun and kiddie for her niece Lhexine but also an element that adults can appreciate: Enter polar bears!

4. All the elements go together!

There's a lot going on, but Gideon's team pulled it off. The iconic red berries, polar bears, berries, crystals, spikes, gifts—they all tie together to make one homey Christmas tree. Gideon uses the power of grouping so that people can appreciate all these details even more.
