Marriage is never easy, so to reach years of committed love is undoubtedly a great feat for any wedded couple. And the grandest way to celebrate this is by renewing their wedding vows. Senator Chiz Escudero and Heart Evangelista are eyeing to accomplish this milestone in 2024.
The couple are set to renew their wedding vows for their nine-year-long marriage on February 14, 2024, as the Filipino senator revealed in an interview with Karen Davila. Heart and Chiz tied the knot on February 15, 2015, a day after Heart's birthday.
When asked why they are renewing their vows this year and exactly on Heart's birth date, Chiz argued that there's no rule when it comes to it. "I have friends who do it at the 5th year or at [sic] the 7th year itch. It truly depends. If you truly love each other then you can actually do it every year if you want," he stated.
Moreover, Chiz pointed out how great life has been to both of them and it's quite fitting to commemorate their wins as a couple that way. He also disclosed that there is a lot of good news that they have yet share to with their family and friends.
"Only because we have a lot of things to celebrate which I guess we would be able to say or announce in the next couple of months... There's a lot to celebrate in life right now in our family, in our marriage, between us, with her," Chiz mentioned.
Heart and Chiz separation rumors
Heart and Chiz appeared to have conquered a powerful storm in their relationship when their relationship was marred with breakup controversies. It all started in 2022 when netizens noticed Heart *allegedly* snubbing her husband's birthday.
Before that, the celebrity had opened up about her personal struggles in a vlog, which the Internet thought was connected to some marital woes. Although she seemingly made efforts to shut down the rumors in 2023, the issues surrounding their marriage continued.
It was in a May 2023 interview with Boy Abunda that Heart decided to speak up and shed some light on the controversy. "I feel like, at the end of the day, not just with marriages, friendships, with people you work with, everyone goes through problems," she says.
"The nice thing about being in a marriage with Chiz is that he has always respected the many seasons of my life that I'm going through. Again, like what I said with my parents, people can't expect me to fast forward the chapters of my life just so I can understand where they're at," she added.
Now, it appears that they have a stronger bond after going through various "rough patches" as a couple. They have been appearing on international fashion weeks together and have been releasing more vlogs as a couple, too!
