About this deal

I used two strips of felt sticking up slightly like the picture shows and hotglued it to an old cd I had. The laser lens cleaning CD works on any standard or car CD players as well as CD ROMS, games consoles, etc. Miller holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in recording and media production from Expression College for Digital Arts. If the CD drive is tray-loaded, open the tray and disconnect the power cable without switching it off from the power button. For my in-dash CD player, I used the material used for wiping spectacle glasses and I think it works.

After the glue dried I wetted the strips down with Alcohol and ran it through the player 3 times and amazingly it played a CD the first try. it looks rather like a felt pad on mine for the drying and a row of brush bristles for the solution IIRC. when I record a CD, it'll play on a couple of my CD players, but in others (like my car CD player) it sounds all static-y and eventually won't play the whole CD. There is no difference in most lens cleaners made nowadays, as most are designed to clean CD, DVD, Blue-ray, and other CD or DVD lens types. The Giotto's rocket air blower, available from some photographic outlets is good, because it has some mechanism whereby it does not suck dust into it before you use it to blow air out - and it's cheap.

Once had a Meridian preamp with Musical Fidelity Studio T power amp, that was a show prize - lucky me. almost as much fun as putting something small and furry in the dark-box when your colleague isn't looking. Kind of like the tone arm on a record player sticking rather than a dull needle ( which would affect sound throughout the recording). The cleaning discs have a brush sticking down from the disc at 90 degrees that brushes against the lens.I googled for it when I had the same issue with my Marantz, and with the aid of some explanation I did manage to fix this myself.
