With a population of around 7,364 (according to the 2020 census), Lander is the thirteenth biggest city in Wyoming. Just miles away from Sinks Canyon and the Wind River Range, Lander is close to many amazing outdoor activities.
Wind River Range
Located in central WY, at the foothills of the Wind River Mountain range, Lander is known for outdoor activities. According to Wind River, this range is home to many of the state's highest peaks including Gannett Peak, which is 13,804 ft (the highest mountain in Wyoming). One of the Top 10 Scenic Drives called, 'Circle the Continental Divide' includes part of the Wind River range. Dinwoody glacier (thought to be around the 4th largest glacier in the Rockies) and many other glaciers are located in the region.
