Helping Sergio Garcia notch his ninth win on the PGA Tour was a solid game with his irons. Garcia hit 57 of 72 greens in regulation, nearly 10 greens more than the field average with his TaylorMade Psi Tour irons and TaylorMade Tour Preferred EF. Also of note with Garcia’s equipment is that he counterbalances all of his full swing clubs and unlike most players that use graduated shaft weights in their woods (lighter in the driver and approximately 10 grams heavier in the 3-wood), Garcia opts for constant weight in his driver, 3-wood and 5-wood, using 80-gram Mitsubishi Kuro Kage S TiNi x-flex shafts in each.
