I have always been an early adopter, particularly with technology. Adopting Starlink was a no-brainer. I stay so way out of Lagos it is in fact Ogun state. Fibre connectivity may be at least 5 years away, I have had to rely on VSAT services for at least 7 years, surviving the extremely weather-influenced service speeds. I was on the 2nd service provider before Starlink. I, of course, have routers for my current employer but have tried others in the past. Ntel was good with their 'unlimited' offer until service went zilch last year. Starlink was just too good to pass on. I installed by myself. It was not cheap in terms of the hardware but I have had my home fully covered by wifi since 2003 so I just needed to get the kit plugged in. Unlimited is unlimited! I have done about 800gb in one of the months and I am striving for 1tb. Sounds strange but not impossible with Netflix, YouTube, AppleTV, DSTv catch up and iptv as well as devices getting updates up and down. Iptv is making me think about disconnecting DSTv seriously. Initially the weather affected the service too but I'm not sure what voodoo they did in the last 1 month and now in the middle of the worst weather, I'm getting 100mb download speed. Getting this message from them was a big plus and a reward for taking the risk.
The speed is really mind blowing as described here. I hope the 2nd service provider can match this offering in the months to come😬 …..Well done sir
