EDSA DOS and the use of text messaging to mobilize people EDSA DOS or The Second People Power Revolution is an event happened in January 17-20, 2001 . This action was made by Filipinos who is concerned in the future of our country. ICT (Information and Communication Technologies). It refers to technologies that provide access to information through telecommunications.This tool was used by Filipinos to mobilize people by text messaging. During EDSA DOS they send text messages to people about the corruption and the wrong doings of former president Joseph Estrada and beg people to participate in political event which is to protest that made him impeached. With the use of ICT you can spread information around the world without an effort like what happened on EDSA DOS this will not happend without the help of ICT. It helps people to mobilize and aware on what's happening in our country and they take an action in it. We all have freedom to used it but still we have to used it in purposive reason because ICT can make a big change in life of every people.
