At the heart of Korean cuisine, a proper meal isn’t complete without banchan—small, shareable side dishes. In our 'The Art of Banchan' class chef and owner of OHSUN, Sara Upshaw will guide you through the techniques behind various styles of banchan including kimchi, namul, muchim, bokkeum, and jorim. Explore unique ingredients, approachable recipes, and the cultural significance of these humble dishes. You will also enjoy the banchan during the class with a warm bowl of rice and other accompaniments prepared by Sara and the OHSUN team.

Each workshop starts with appetizers and ends with a full meal. We hope you feel comfort through the food we feed you, and the skills to learn how to make Korean home cooking on your own.
