Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez is now 50.
The singer celebrated her birthday yesterday, April 22, and her husband Ogie Alcasid and their son Nate were the first to greet her.
Ogie took to Instagram with a series of posts that paid tribute to his wife's special milestone.
First, he took a "just woke up" selfie with the birthday girl and posted the photo with the caption: "Gising na si bday girl!! @reginevalcasid."
Regine had a simple celebration at home with her family, as the country is still under enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a separate post, Ogie revealed that they enjoyed a sumptuous paella prepared by their good friend, Buffet Cooks and Caterers owner and chef Paolo Bustamante.
Ogie also uploaded a video of him and Nate singing the happy birthday song before Regine made a wish and blew her candle.
In the caption, Ogie wrote, "Happy bday baba!!! @reginevalcasid"
Another post featured a touching birthday message for his wife.
The 52-year-old singer-songwriter expressed how much he loves Regine, and revealed his birthday wish.
Ogie wrote, "My Beloved who is most beautiful even at her simplest. It is your special day today and i wish you all the joy, peace and love that the entire universe can offer.
"Go and keep shining for Jesus baba. You are and will always be my eternal and I love you with all my heart."
To end his birthday message, Ogie told Regine, "Happiest birthday and may God bless you and keep you, the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
"The Lord lift his countenance upon you and give you peace. [heart and birthday cake emojis] @reginevalcasid."
