Christmas celebration is going to be different this 2020, with the sobering effect of the pandemic being felt by families and communities globally.
But the tradition of putting up Christmas trees is one thing the coronavirus can't touch.
They are going up in homes and bringing the spirit of joy to kids and grown-ups alike in these trying times.
And here are how these 12 celebrities are hanging out the holiday lights in their homes.
Kathryn Bernardo
Just like last year, Kathryn has teamed up with event stylist Gideon Hermosa to decorate her Christmas tree.
The young showbiz A-lister is keeping the polar bear theme for her Christmas tree this year, but with a change in color motif—from icy blue to Christmas red.
Bea Alonzo
Bea also called up Gideon to decorate her Christmas tree, with instruction to make it "traditional."
Bea has in mind the Christmas trees often seen in landmark places in the States, like the traditional Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center in New York City.
Her tree has glimmers of red and gold with touches of white.
Kim Chiu
Year after year, every December, Kim usually would usually spend a week putting up the Christmas tree at her home.
But now, the It's Showtime host has done it all in one day, choosing to dress it in red and white decors—for her, the colors of joy and hope.
Kim said in her vlog: "Red represents happiness. Dahil kahit ano man nangyayari sa atin ngayon, it is really important to be happy.
"And kahit na may pinagdadaanan tayo, kailangan natin itayo iyong Crhistmas tree kasi it's a sign of hope and happiness."
Kim is particularly determined to light up her home this holiday season to bring in holiday cheer for her nieces and nephew.
Xian Lim
For the first time in his whole life, Xian decided to set up a Christmas tree in his home.
He said in his vlog: "I decided to have it this year because I feel like we never really took time in decorating.
"Taking time to get lights, taking time to get decorations, taking time to buy some Christmas decors.
"I feel like we deserve a treat and I feel like iba iyong Christmas spirit kapag may Christmas tree ka sa bahay."
The Christmas tree is also for Xian a way to let his mother Mary Anne and grandmother Leonie feel the magic of Christmas while in quarantine.
Jinkee Pacquiao
Recycling Christmas decors seems to be de rigueur this year as shopping for new ones can get a bit tricky with the pandemic still raging.
Jinkee Pacquiao, for example, has recycled her pink and gold flamengo-themed tree from 2019.
Vicki Belo
The celebrity dermatologist, is another example. Dra. Vicki is putting up the exact same tree she had at her home last year— with its colorful and festive Mexican- themed trimmings intact.
The tree was designed by decorating guru Stephen Brown of Glitterville Studios in the States.
Carmina Villarroel
Carmina has just shown her vast snow man collection in her latest YouTube vlog.
Her household is ready for Christmas in which Carmina's enchantment with everything snowman-themed is revealed.
Apart from snow man decors, Carmina also has a set of personalized Christmas ornaments.
Each member of her family—her husband Zoren and their children, Cassy and Mavy, has one.
Marjorie Barretto
Christmas is always a "big deal" for Marjorie.
In her vlog, the former actress turned politician connected her love for Christmas to her mother.
She said, "I think growing up, my mom was really big on Christmas. Kapag Christmas, grabe siya magdecorate.
"She can even put pine leaves into the house. Everything is fixed, including our kitchen.
"I think nakuha ko iyon sa kanya. As a mom, I carried it over with me. I think it's a good tradition."
Marjorie has also encouraged her children to start their own Christmas traditions, especially the ones who already live in their own homes.
Korina Sanchez
Korina has dubbed her tree as her "Lockdown Christmas tree."
With the help of her trusted "forever helper" Nelbert Lucero, they put up this tree together.
For Korina, a good Christmas tree always has a story to tell.
Her tree has origami ornament decors, which were created by one of her relatives from scratch.
Sheena Halili
The soon-to-be mom has white and pink Christmas tree in her condo space.
This will be her first Christmas with husband Jeron Manzanero.
Sheena is also due to give birth this December.
Andi Eigenmann
Andi will be spending Christmas in Manila and the celebrity mom has a "Boho"-themed Christmas tree up.
Her decors are handmade Christmas balls with dried flowers inside and accented all over by rattan acorn ornaments.
Rica Peralejo
The Christmas tree in Rica's home is a bit off the wall. The former actress calls it a space-saving tree.
Its design is also minimal. The only ornaments hanging on the tree are the Christmas lights, an ornamental belen, and the personalized Christmas decor.
Apart from the tree, Rica also has a section she has dubbed as "Every Naton Christmas."
Each ornament symbolizes a country or a place Rica and her family have visited or considered special.
Christmas books are also a sign that the holidays have arrived in the Peralejo-Bonifacio household.
