Delayed bills payment is a concern for many Pinoys, especially for those who live in areas which are now placed under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ).
To help the subscribers manage their expenses, telecommunication companies PLDT, Smart, and Sun have offered a lighter installment payment term.
In a Facebook post dated April 15, it was announced that those with outstanding monthly bills during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) can settle them in six-month-installment term beginning on May 1, 2020, with zero percent interest and without penalties.
"We hope that through this payment program, we will help keep you connected whether you are at home, the office or elsewhere after the enhanced community quarantine period.
“As one community, we will get through these challenging times together," PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan said.
Globe Telecom followed suit, and announced on Friday, May 15, 2020, that the bills of their Globe Mobile Postpaid, Globe At Home, and Platinum subscribers can also be paid in installments.
"We are offering our installment payment options in the hope that it will help ease their expenses and allow them to expand their budget for essentials,” said Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu.
To avail of this perk, visit the telco's website or download the Globe at Home or Globe One mobile apps. Offer is valid from May 15 to June 15, 2020.
You may choose from their two-to-six-month payment terms at zero percent interest.
The staggered payment will be reflected on the bill of mobile subscribers as "Adjustment for Payment Arrangement."
Those with broadband accounts will see it on their billing statement as "Installment Program."
It will be charged in the next two billing periods upon your enrolment to the program.
