With her half a million-peso outfits to her expensive way of eating fried chicken, it's not every day that we can all find something relatable about Heart Evangelista. It's no impossible task though, especially if we talk about the beauty tips that she learned from her mother Cecilia Ongpauco. She revealed these in one of her vlogs, with her sister Camille Ongpauco and Cecilia herselfย as a witness!
According to Camille, Heart was the best out of the three sisters at following their mom's beauty advice. They were told to sleep on their back, brush their hair 100 times to make it longer, and avoid smoky eye makeup, just to name a few.ย But out of all of these lessons, Heart followed one particular tip religiously: She would massage her nose, in hopes of getting a sharper one once she grew up!
Cecilia talked all about this in the vlog, even sharing her specific instructions for the actress! "I told her, 'Heart, every day, count up to 100, keep pressing the bone [upwards],'" she said. Being the obedient kid she was, seven-year-old Heart complied, doing the exercise constantly until she became an adult.
Despite it being somewhat of an old wives' tale in the Philippines, Heart herself believes that the exercise helped define her nose's structure. In fact, it's also one of the reasons why her mom can confidently claim that the actress did not get plastic surgery on her face, next to genetics."I think she got my nose. She never had anything done," Cecilia claimed.
And from the looks of this recent photo of the mother and daughter duo, there's no doubt that Heart got her mom's good genes!
We don't know about you, but our own moms and grandmothers have told us to do the same nose massage as a kid. While we can't exactly 100% say that it works, we're glad all that effort could pay off in the end, if we were to take Heart's word for it!
