Annually since 1990, film critic site TC Candler and The Independent Critics group release their Top 100 list of the Most Beautiful and Most Handsome faces worldwide. The prestigious list regularly includes celebrities across 45 countries, with everyone from Michelle Pfeiffer to Lindsay Lohan bagging the top 1 spot in past years.
The site behind the rankings state that their criteria doesn't only include "aesthetic perfection," but also "grace, elegance, originality, daring, passion, class, poise, joy, promise [and] hope." This 2021, we're happy to report that three of our beloved Pinoy celebrities made it to the list! After being selected from a pool of 130,000 personalities, Ivana Alawi, Liza Soberano and Janine Gutierrez all made the cut.
Moving up from the 11th spot last 2020, YouTube sensation Ivana Alawi sits comfortably as the 4th most beautiful face in the world. It's no surprise that the Filipino-Moroccan placed much higher in the list, given howย her IG posts always have double taps showered on them.
Coming in at #18 is Liza Soberano, who previously topped the prestigious list back in 2017. Still, placing in the Top 20 is still quite a feat for the 23-year-old actress, whose beauty is constantly proving its timelessness.
Making her debut on the list at the 78th slot is Janine Gutierrez, who has had quite a yearย bringing home awardsย and looking great doing so (we mean, have you seen herย Preview August 2021 cover?) We can't wait toย witness more of herย in the coming year!
Occupying the top spot this year is no other thanย BLACKPINK'sย Lisa Manoban. The girl group rapper had her solo debut this year, and we're certain haven't seen the last of her.
