Male Muscovy ducks, also known as drakes, do not have a permanent mating partner, they have seasonal mates. Muscovy drakes like to mate with other Muscovies but they can mate with other ducks if there is no female Muscovy.
When they hit puberty, they start making a hissing sound. Muscovy Drakes are overprotective of their females and the ducklings.
