Pokemon GO players will soon witness the second Spotlight Hour event for October. This time, the Pocket Monster being featured will be Shroomish. You will be able to take part in this event on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. Since it will only be an hour-long event, you should definitely consider taking part in it.

Like most, if not all events in Pokemon GO, the Shroomish Spotlight Hour will also come with a bunch of bonuses that you can enjoy if you go out and play the game. The bonuses that you will get are as follows:
- 2x XP for evolving Pokemon.
- Extra Stardust for every Shroomish you catch (500 Stardust) since it is a Stardust-boosted creature.
How to prepare for Shroomish Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO?
You need to get the following things in mind for the Shroomish Spotlight Hour in Pokemon GO:
- Manage your Pokemon Storage and make space for the Shroomish that you are going to catch during this event. You do not want to waste your time clearing Pokemon during the event instead of catching Shroomish.
- Since you will have boosted encounters, replenish your PokeBall stock. It would not be fun if you run out of PokeBalls during the event. It would be better if you could stack Great Balls and Ultra Balls to maximize your efficiency.

You will get 2x the amount of Experience Points (XP) that you normally get for evolving Pocket Monsters in Pokemon GO.
To make the most out of this, you should consider catching as many Shroomish as you can during the Spotlight Hour and evolve them as you play. Remember to evolve the creatures during the Pokemon GO event as the bonus will not be applicable after the Spotlight Hour ends.
You can also make the most out of this double XP for evolving your Pokemon bonus by activating a Lucky Egg as you are about to start playing.
Each Lucky Egg will earn you 2x XP for 30 minutes. So, you will need two Lucky Eggs for the entire duration of the event. This way, you can get 4x the normal amount of XP for evolving Pokemon.
Stardust bonus during Shroomish Spotlight Hour
Usually, you get a little over 100 Stardust for every Pocket Monster you catch in Pokemon GO. When it comes to Shroomish, you will get 500 Stardust every time you catch this creature.
Pair that up with a Star Piece and your Stardust will get doubled per catch. A Star Piece will earn you 2x Stardust for 30 minutes in Pokemon GO. So, during the Spotlight Hour event, you will have boosted encounters with Shroomish.
