Chapter 9) Going Ghost, Hunting

                                    

                                              
~ Uncle Ford~ 
    Ugh! I can't believe Stan just gave the twins a babysitter without telling me! Even worse, he's a halfa!  Maybe if I could capture him and study him. Be the first to study a halfa! The twins would never forgive me. The twins don't need to know, a voice said inside my head. 
Bill? I thought back. Nothing. I don't think that was Bill, maybe I'm going crazy.I should do it.No. Yes. 
    I decided I will be the first to study a halfa. 
    I called Stan up stairs. "Stan! Come here!" I shouted. 
     "What?" He grumbled back. 
      "First, I can't believe you got the twins a babysitter without telling me! Next you didn't even do any research about him!" I shouted. 
      "What is this 'research' thing?" He said like he was talking to a tourist. 
    "The babysitter that you hired is half human, half ghost! I can't believe that you hired someone without asking him about his past life!" 
    I saw Dipper and Mable walk into the room. "Go back to bed kids." I muttered. 
       "No," said Mable. "He's a good kid! He gave me a ban aid!" She pointed to her leg.
    "Go back to bed." I muttered again. 
     "No," Dipper said this time. "So what his might be half ghost? He is a good kid." 
     "Dipper, you haven't seen what halfa's are cable of. He could probably take over the world." I said looking down. 
      "He wouldn't." Said Mable. 
      "How do you know? You knew him
for a week? May I remind you of your Gnome boyfriend or Gideon? We barely knew him, Mable! No wonder he almost never talked about his past!" Dipper said. I'm so glad Dipper is on my side, this will make things much easier.
     "What about Sam?! Do you think she knows?!" Mable cried. 
      "I think so." Dipper respond.
     "Come on, Dipper. We're going ghost, hunting." I declared.
~ Danny~ 
      "Oh come on Danny. It's not like these kids never seen something strange before." Sam has been trying to convince me that everything is going to be okay. We're at some Dinner, I got eggs while Sam got pancakes. 
      Sam was trying to say some encouraging words when Mable rushed through the door. 
    "Danny! Danny! Your shoe laces are untied! You need to tie them now!" She screamed. 
     Sam was about say something, but she saw something out the window and her eyes widened. "Danny, tie your shoe laces." Sam said in a rush. 
     I shrugged and ducked under the table to tie my shoe laces. Then I noticed that my shoe laces weren't untied. 
    "Danny, just stay under the table for two more seconds." Sam pleaded.
      I don't know how long, but Mable gave an all clear that I could go up. 
      "What is happening?" I asked Mable. 
       "Well Dipper and Uncle Ford has this silly idea that your evil and kinda...." I just nodded. I get this too many times. Everyone wants to hunt me. Ghosts to the government. They all just love me.   
      "What do you think we should do?" I asked. 
       "I don't know." Mabel said sadly. "Maybe I could convince Dipper, but Uncle Ford is a whole other story. I think that if we could change Dipper's mind. Just maybe you could probably stay here." 
       "Okay. Do you think that we should stay at the Northwest's until things calm down?" I asked. 
      "Sounds like a good idea." Mable shouted. 
~ Dipper~ 
     Ugh! We've been searching hours and didn't even get a hint where he is. 
     "Do you think he left town?" I asked.
      "No, the ghost detector is still picking something up." Uncle Ford responded. 
      "Could it be from the convince store that... You know is haunted?" 
     "No it seems to be coming from the Northwest mansion." Uncle Ford said while looking at the ghost detector. 
     "I forgot that he's going to stay at the Northwest's because his parents' friend invited them to or something." I exclaimed. 
      "Let's go over there then!" 
      The only thing that we forgot about is the really big gate. "Um... How are we going to get in?" I asked. 
    Uncle Ford walked over where a screen and a button was. Oh. Duh. Just ask, but what are we going to tell them? 
      Uncle Ford pressed the button. The screen turned on showing Vlad on the other side. Uncle Ford's face paled. 
    "Wrong address!" Screamed Uncle Ford. He took my shoulder and lead me away. Leaving Vlad with a quizzical look on his face. 
      "Um... Uncle Ford are you alright?" 
       "Dipper, is the screen off yet." 
        "Just turned off." 
          "We can't go in there." 
              "Why?"
            "Vlad Masters is a Halfa. He's evil, Dipper. Stay away from him." 
        I couldn't believe my ears. Vlad? Evil? How? Halfa? What is happening? Who isn't a Halfa! 
     "Evil is over stating it, Stanford." I recognize that voice immediately. Vlad. 
      I looked behind me. There was a ghost. He wore a white suit with a cape (that had red on the inside and white on the outside) and his black hair made it look like he had horns. I nearly screamed, but before I could Uncle Ford said, "Vlad." I didn't have any clue what to do. 
     Suddenly a green ray of light hits Vlad square in the chest."Daniel, so glad you can join us." Vlad said calmly, but evilly. 
     "What do you want, Plasmius?" Danny shouted. 
     The more I looked between the two the more I saw Danny didn't seem like the bad guy. Vlad looked more stronger than Danny. While Danny seem to be showing more rage and confidence. 
     "Daniel, why do you think I'm always up to something?" Vlad said evilly. 
     "I don't know, because you are?" 
       After that everything went into chaos. Rays of both green and purple shot everywhere. Did I see more then one Vlad? 
    I saw Mable running at me. "Dipper! Dipper!" She yelled. 
      "Mable not a good time. Dipper get the ghost catching equipment." Uncle Ford said. 
     "Don't Dipper! Danny is still that babysitter that we know. Even if you try to catch the other ghost, you might hit Danny!" Mable yelled. 
     I saw Sam walk up behind Mable. I looked at  Mable then Danny then Sam and Danny again. 
    "Uncle Ford, no. No ghost hunting." I said. Uncle Ford was starring at the sky. 
    "Kids run!" He shouted. I looked up to see a giant rock flying towards us. 
    Suddenly  I see Danny hold the rock above his head. I pulled Mable away from the big rock . Danny threw the rock. 
      I looked around I didn't see Vlad anywhere. I saw Danny land and turn back to a human. It was so cool watching him transform back. The two blue glowing rings around his body was memorizing. The only words for it was awesome. 
     "Danny?" 
      He turned around. He was frowning. "I'm sorry for ever doubting that you anything, but good." I said sadly. He nodded. 
      "I guess we need to go home now." Danny said to Sam. She just nodded. 
     "Wait! Uncle Ford, can they stay with us?" Begged Mable. 
     "I don't know where they could stay." He responded.
      "They could have sleeping bags in our room." Mable said. 
    I don't mind if they stay with us. I guess they can't stay with some evil ghost, so I guess they can stay with us. 
      "Okay." Frowned Uncle Ford. "Just until they find another or better place." 
      "Yay! Sleep over!" Yelled Mable. 
          Boy, this is going to be interesting.
