Bi-xenon headlights are dual function xenon headlights which comes in two styles- reflector and projector. Xenon refers to the HID (high intensity discharge) bulbs used. Bi-xenon can only be found in projectors. They have a cut-off shield that are actuated typically with a solenoid inside the projector that mechanically lowers the cut-off shield to allow high beam light output. It is designed in such a way so as to not blind other drivers on the road.
